Muay Thai breathes new life into stoic Martial Arts Films.

Prof. Brian Oblivion,

The Muay Thai style of combat brings a new element of entertainment to a very repetetive genre. I was very pleasantly suprised at the new look mix of Muay Thai style combat, (never seen so many knees and elbows/forearms thrown in a M/A film before, pyrotechnics, and Asian magical folklore that despite the rookie acting, suspect dubbing, and obvious budget restraints, Dynamite Warrior really beats the odds to put forth an admirable Good vs. Evil M/A story that really had me solidly pulling for Dan Chupong's character. Flaws? Tons, SO WHAT. Does anyone really expect Thai film to compete with with Tinseltown's budget? Not to mention, I highly doubt Thailand's movie/breakaway furniture is quite as pillowy soft as Mission Impossible III paper mache' props. The drops, falls, and other stunts were raw, hardcore, and no doubt left cuts snd bruises on the actors, and re-watching with slow and freeze etc., it left little doubt Dan Chupong wasn't interested in spending what limited budget they had on stunt doubles. Kudos to Dan Chupong and the rest of Thai cast and crew involved in Dynamite Warrior for proving that cinematic prowess can still come from the heart, not just the budget.
