Although the main character displays some stilted, novice acting the film "Dynamite Warrior" is a huge success for a Thai movie, and marks a new watershed for large budget Thai filmmaking. I can really recommend the film for the authentic (if somewhat romanticized) costumes and locations. If you've been to Thailand (especially the South) you'll be surprised by the look and feel of this inventive movie set in Northern Thailand.

Had a blast watching this. Enjoyed it more than what I've seen from Jaa so far.
Who says violence is not the answer?
Many of these Thai films include a lot of cultural references..they often have traditional dance and music. One of the things they want to bring to the west (apart from awesome Muay Thai fighting skills) is an insight into the Thai life style. Some parts of these films come across more as a travelogue than a martial arts film. Not that Iam comlaining..I find the Thai culture fascinating
