In the first scene a girl is sitting down trying to get a cell phone to work to call for help.... was she with the first group?
Did the vines learn to tingle from her cell?
What happened to her ?

I think it is her we see falling out of the vines when it snatched the fire torch
It's not really told who she was or if she was with the archeologists, this scene wasn't in the book of course. I think you're in good reason to believe that she is though (the timeline implied in the movie). Her body is indeed the corpse that the vines fling at Amy and Stacy when they get attacked down inside of the Ruins.
The vines cannot create original noises, they have to hear it from an external source in order to mimic them. If they didn't learn it from her cell-phone it was from somebody's phone in the past.
Personally, I thought that girl was Heinrich's girlfriend. What we saw at the beginning of the film, was the closing of the chapter (unseen to the audience, of course, but implied) about what she and Heinrich had gone through. Obviously Heinrich had died first, and she was the last one to survive until the vines caught her.
