I forgot about this one!
I've seen this movie a few times over the years. I never caught it in theaters, but it does get random runs on premium cable channels and I always end up watching it for a bit. This movie isn't perfect by any means. Anytime you buy a ticket for a movie like this, you know you have to suspend your need for 100% credibility and accept the inevitable plot holes.
With all of that said, I always forget how brutal this movie is. There are certain scenes that really get under my skin. For example: when the blonde character is holding the knife and you can see that she is just slicing away at her own body to get rid of of the vines. That scene always makes me cringe, and I've seen my fair share of gore. It's very enjoyable and every time I see it, I am reminded that I have been intending to order the book its based on for like five years.
