Did anybody else find the use of this song during the news readers scene not only in poor taste but wildly distracting while trying to listen to the anchormen read the letters?

I agree! I'm watching the movie now and I thought it was awful and very distracting.

The music cues throughout were pretty ham-handed and intrusive.

Still, the story and Charlie Otero himself make the whole thing worthwhile.
