Is it me, or...

Do you have to listen to five mins of "intellectual" ramblings before you finally get to each "joke" in this special.

This special shouldn't even be categorized as comedy, it is just angry ramblings, with the usual "If you don't agree with me, your a moron" tagged at the end.

You two really Miss The Point.

I really, really disagree. I thought he was funnier than ever. And had a lot of good points.

That's kind of just his style in general.

Personally, I think it got really bad after his first wife died. I found him a lot darker on this one, Complaints and Grievances and (especialy) Life is Worth Losing. He had trouble dealing with the loss, and fuelled it with alcohol and Vicodin. This one his old self was starting to come back. Sadly, no one knows what material he was working on aafter this show.

He seemed more cranky than incisive here... but given that it was his last one, I suppose that's logical.

I have seen snippets of his best work though, so I know he could be sharper than this.

I agree he seemed to go on more angry rants than usual (although that is his style) but I kept in mind that as a 70 year old, he's earned his grumpiness. The fact he could still rant and have it all memorized makes it even more impressive IMO. Certainly not his funniest work but still hilarious. I would say RIP George but something tells me he'd make fun of me for that.
