I love this movie. It is almost perfect.

Phantom of the Paradise
Sweeney Todd (play, movie and concert)

Any other dark musicals or operas?

Have you seen the others they've done? The Devil's Carnival and Alleluia?

Edit to add Anna and the Apocalypse. It has more humour, so it's not as dark, but it's bloody.
