Don't really need a spoiler warning in the title as it obviously is from a late episode.
Anyway, I was wondering what exactly Ai's cousin did to save her for 7 years? I remember seeing her being led to be sacrificed and Sentiro in the crowd, then it shows him visiting Ai in a small hut she was hiding in. What exactly did he do to get her out of the crowd and they all thought the sacrifice had gone well? Was it a different girl that been sacrificed?

I have just seen this episode and I was wondering about the same thing.
My guess is that normally they would leave the girl in the mountains to starve to death, but Sentarou just sneaked out and built this hut for her, bringing her food and clothing.
