I dont know if its true but I heard there going to make a fourth movie with all the new people. If they do I dont know if ill actually see it cause it wont be the same without the original cast. I know it sounds weird but id feel like I was turning on them...........

shareThey're making it. It has all new characters and an all new cast. Kenny Ortega isn't even coming back to direct. Some guy named Jeffery Hornaday or something is directing it. It's about East High and West High students falling in love or something. It's bound to be awful.

I loved the first three but they are making a big mistake with HSM4
If they can make a whole bunch of Halloween Town, Twitches, Herbie, and Mickey Mouse movies than they can capitalize on making this series. The thing is too try not to make it like HSM 1-3. A whole new cast, which they have done, and a whole new story line is what is gonna make this series continue. A guest apperance here and there from the original 6 would help too.
It's easier to critique than create.
Then what was the significance of the passing of the torch scenes in HSM 3? It doesn't make any sense to do that and then totally disregard them in the 4th. I always thought we would follow these newly introduced characters instead.

I think the producers realized that they messed up by picking those three kids. Not only did it waste time on screen from the main six, and the supporting cast, like Martha, Zeke, Jason, and Kelsi but the new kids 1. couldn't sing(c'mon its a musical...some of the main 6 weren't singers but they could at least carry a tune) and 2. they didn't have any good chemistry what so ever, not like Zac, Vanessa, Lucas, Corbin, Momo, and Ashley.
They couldn't even pretend to have good chemistry which was amazing to me, because Ashley admitted that her and Lucas didn't even like one another during the first movie...and it's really hard to tell. They just need to dump the new kids and start brand new. Keep the nostalgia of East High, and bring in some likeable cute pratically unknown actors and work it out.
It's easier to critique than create.
I agree and it was pretty dumb to introduce them and not even bring them back for the 4th which I still believe is a big mistake

Hey i think they need to have some relations to the old cast like the girl, can be a new girl just moved her from.......Australia(lets say) and she is cousins to Troy, so she know coach Bolton. So they could have phone convos. and then thatt would be a link, and maybe the guy she falls in love with could be like Ryan and Sharpays Cousin or something maybe even Gabriella's? Who know but i want this girl to be in it...

under the picture is says "she's back..." and i think she is refering to sharpay. there was alot of speculation about whether or not she would be returning for the fourth movie bc at the end of HSM3 ms darbus says " sharpay will be returning next fall to help with the drama department" (during the graduation scene on the stage). I don't know for sure, but I have a hunch that that is the reason why she died her hair back to that color and put the quote under the picture saying " she's back...."
I still think the girl from my above post go check her if you haven't looked yeah, and i hope she is back :)

i like the idea of miley appearing in hsm 4 along with ashley, after all they were both students at east high (hsm 2, remember?) n i think it would be coool to have both of them together in a party scene or something!

They need pratically unknown kids to make HSM4 a hit. But with that said I could actually see Miley pulling it off, but not something typical. Like have her be a tom boy or something. I don't know.

Kenny Ortega is out. Jeffrey Hornaday is in for High School Musical 4: East Meets West.
While Kenny will be busy directing the upcoming Footloose, Jeffrey will take on the Disney franchise that became a worldwide phenomenon. He shared with the press early this morning, “I’m excited to be part of a franchise that, thematically, encourages kids to believe in themselves. Like the first three movies, my goal is to keep the art form of the traditional musical alive, yet bring a contemporary emotional response to the story and its characters through song and dance.”
Jeffrey Hornaday choreographed Flashdance, A Chorus Line, and also directed Madonna and Backstreet Boys world concert tours.
In High School Musical 4, East meets West in a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and West High Knights.
As previously reported, the three sophomore Wildcats introduced in HSM3 — Matt Prokop, Justin Martin and Jemma McKenzie-Brown — will not be back for the continuation of the franchise.
