Shawshank dialogue

I know others have posted, I'm starting a new topic anyway.

Frank's monologue to Rizza near the end of this movie is nearly identical to the parole hearing monologue given by Red in Shawshank Redemption. Anyone else notice? It struck me as a respectful nod to a different movie with a similar plot.
