An air traffic controller refuses a request for an emergency landing...

...because "they're just ants!" Apparently a dead man on the plane doesn't warrant an emergency landing.

Oh, and excuse me, but an air traffic controller is not there to decide what does and what doesn't constitute an emergency; he is there to direct air traffic, and to give the pilot a vector back to the airport if the pilot declares an emergency of ANY kind. Such an exchange would NEVER happen...but then, not much of a movie if they'd been allowed to land.

Actually, it wasn't much of a movie, period. And I only watched the first half an hour before I had the overwhelming temptation to bash myself over the head with an iron poker.

I knew this movie was going to be pretty bad, but it was Friday night, there was nothing better on, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Unfortunately I must have missed the warning at the beginning of the movie that anyone with even a slight knowledge of aviation should NOT watch this movie for fear of laughing themselves to the point of choking. Since the painfully STUPID exchange between the pilot and ATC occurred within the first 10 minutes of the movie, I knew it was only going to get worse.

I quickly decided that cleaning the bathroom was far superior entertainment for a Friday night than watching this tripe.

I think you read into this movie far too much.

I agree, for a documentary featuring so mamy re-enactments, it should have been much more factual.

Cause of parents death?
They got in my way....

I do not claim to know a lot about flying, but this movie is pathetic and painful to watch.
