Why didn't Shawna call the police on the way to the house?

I mean she found out disturbing news about this woman, she could at least have called 911 to Carter's house. This would've made more sense...

For real.

The thing that I found even more stupid was the fact that she just told her friend "Find out what you can about Abigail Reed" and then later on the friend told her about the whole story of the dead orphan girl and her missing friend.

I just typed "Abigail Reed" into Google and got dozens of results for women with that name. She didn't tell her an approximate age, where she claimed she was from, or any other details used to narrow things down.

How embarrassing would it have been if she showed up to the house in a panic saying "your babysitter is a psychopathic murderer!" and then Abby is just sitting there playing games with the kids (and hadn't done any of that murdering and whatnot) all because her friend picked any "Abigail Reed" at random.

Seriously laughing out loud at the previous comment. Fantastic! Very funny!

Because no one in this film had any real intelligence or did anything that made any sense whatsoever.
