From a non-runner who loved it!

I saw this movie with several runners as well as two of my grandchildren and I came away completely psyched by the effort that the runners all went through. It was a feel-good movie that was beautifully photographed and made Chicago to be as exciting as I know that it is. My running friends were able to relate to the principals and their struggle to complete their runs. My 12 year old grandson, who is just starting to run in junior high, told us that when he is 19 he will enter the marathon and win....not just finish...but win! He may not really ever do that but this movie made him want to. I overheard many non-runners in the audience who really got into the movie and were inspired by it even though they were skeptical when they walked in. It is not a technical movie, nor should it be, it is an inspiring movie reminding me of "Chariots of Fire" in the 70s. And just listening to the wonderful music was a big plus. I'm recommending it to everyone. If watching those penguins a few years ago made for a good movie, this one is better and shows the true human spirit. One of the tag lines was something about when you cross the finish line it will change your life forever...that person had it right on.
