Could of been so much better

It was a great concept for an inspirational movie, but i feel the director failed. I though one of the athletes chosen to follow could of been one of the many disabled athletes who particiapte in the marathon, one of the wheelchair athletes, blinde runners ect... too bad they left those athletes out, i am sure one or any of their stories would of been much more inspirational than the ones chosen. Nothing personal against the athletes chosen from the chicago area, but i found nothing special or inspirational about their stories at all. Like i mentioned i know there are so many more inspirational stories out there, how they ended up with those individuals is beyond me. I know there are hundred if not thousand of runners in their 60's and above who ran unbelievable marahton times, the gentleman in the movies ran the marathon on over 6 hours again nothing personal to him but just not inspirring. And the single woman who had a child, she was shown walking alot of the race, what was so inspirring about her story? Oh well, jsut thought there were so many more inspirational stories than the ones they chose.

I think they wanted to show the average Joe/Jane running too. Their stories to me were inspirational...and not any less important than anyone else's. I could see myself reflected in the single mom a lot more than no offense, someone who may have had a disability.

But I wouldn't have minded seeing someone who was perhaps blind or in a wheelchair shown running.

Geez... I hope you've at least run a marathon to be so hard on these people for their accomplishments. It's a pretty big deal to run a marathon - even if you don't have a great time. I should know, as I've run two of them.

I found this movie extremely inspiring. It did a good job of showing how the elites and non-elites come together in this event.

It was also depressing to watch that guy get a knee injury when he was trying to qualify for Boston.
I recently watched this film a second time and that time only watched the Deena Kastor parts. I was bleeping on the edge of my seat watching that Romanian chick almost beat her.
Also, the Kenyan guy living in Japan getting third...depressing. He seemed so let down about that.
Deena Kastor definitely had the best storyline. I wish the whole movie was about her.
