Oxymoron (Spoilers) Is 'GAY' really gay anymore?

"Gay Movie"? Get serious! Can't any screenwriter write a 'gay' gay movie? This is just another example of showing there's nothing gay about being gay. Ninety-five percent of ALL gay movies (as they're categorized) all become artsy with sad or unhappy endings...leaving the audience depressed. Some of the biggest DVD sales of gay movies such as "Shelter", "Latter Days", "The Man I Love" because they're romantic films with happy endings. There was no reason in the world for Trevor to give up his happiness and stick around for his male friend to fall in love and leave and Andie suffering for years with HIV. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm sick and tired of depressing endings of "GAY" movies when there's nothing gay about them. In real life gay couples DO fall in love and can ride off into the sunset to the magic castle to give the movie goers a lift. BUT NO! The two male leads MUST always break up or one of them has to die or hit by a car. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! If you want you're DVD to sell or form a line at the box office...START giving us some happy endings.

A high percentage of all relationships end badly. It's not a gay thing; it's a human thing.

There are gay movies that end with happy endings - like "Shelter" and "Latter Days".

And then there are gay movies that have unhappy endings. Why? Cause not every romance ends happily. Just look at the divorce rates.
