Not entertaining, not worthy of 5 stars

I'm sure the scriptwriter thought the concept of a young couple having a dramatic adventure in the Grand Canyon would make a plausible and affordable indie film. However, the story needed some serious work before it ever went into production. As a result, we have a mixed bag. Three good performances by the leads, good cinematography, good locations, poor story.
I'm surprised that anyone could really call this entertaining.
The first third of the movie deserves 6 stars out of 10. The remaining two thirds deserves 2 out of 10.

Tedium.

And although Ambrose Bierce would have been pleased with the ending, it is not for the tastes of mainstream moviegoers.

Again, do not let the rating fool you. There are several stakeholders voting this a 10 who do NOT represent the true public.
