At the end, when the wife suffocated her husband to save her from an impending wolf attack, wouldn't she have heard the helicopter coming?? It arrived just seconds after she suffocated him. And they're in the Grand Canyon...I'm pretty sure there's not too much noise pollution there...
shareNot necessarily. I mean, probably, yes, sure. But sometimes I live in the mountains and those muffle helicopters surprisingly well.
But you're probably right, and usually just the low-frequency thumping of a helicopter can be felt long before it's heard.
Better question is given the stress of the situation would she have even comprehended if she had heard? The scene was accurate for the situation.
