Sandler made a bad decision with this movie

I would imagine good comedians are like people with Turrets syndrome, and when something funny comes out it is just too good to leave on the cutting room floor. Unless, that is, you are working for Disney at the time. If they didnt kybosh his humor, then I think Adam is losing his grip.

We know he can act. But this seemed like an act of desperation. It made the Waterboy look funny.

Sad... My kids were not impressed. The Guinni Pig with those eyes was funny for the first 3 or 4 times. But it was the only good part of the movie. The plot was just aweful. I mean it was insulting to the intellegence of my kids.

We expected more. Better luck next time.

Cheers...

Wtf?
Why not just enjoy the movie?

I liked this a lot 9/10 atleast

Agree, as a childrens movie, I thought it great, as a movie for Sandlerfans, I thought it was awesome.

People expecting Reign over me, Punchdrunk love, Spanglish etc really need to expect something else.

You mean tourette syndrome?
Turret is a defensive mechanism involving a ranged weapon.

i disagree with the OP.

this is one of the better 'PG Rated' films out there especially in recent times.

this also is MUCH better than Adam Sandlers last effort called 'You Don't Mess with the Zohan' which was Adam Sandlers worst film to date in my opinion and im a general fan of him to.

the film was a nice fun family movie and Adam Sandler was good as usual and i even liked the general idea behind the film to with the stories translating into real life etc.

all in all... i give it a 'solid' 7/10 because if i had to choose a 6 or 8 i would say 8.

Then again Zohan was a satire making fun of jews and arabs in general where as Bedtime stories isn't in the same class.

i also liked it and found it amusing and cute. it was slightly funny (a bit childish) but it's such a sweet and harmless movie that i appreciate it. adam sandler also did a good job (hasn't he got his own kid now?)
the guinea pig was cute, i usually hate animated animals (hated garfield and alvin &the chipmunks) but this pig was good and harmless.
plus the movie's super positive with a cute incorporation of fairy tales (nicely made with good cgi and animations) always with sandler and his trusty sidekicks (even his dog..but this isn't the first time we've seen her)

it's a dirty world Reich, say what you want

The only thing that worries Sandler lately is get well paid. He doesnt give a sh** about anything else (and unfortunately thats true for at least 80% of Hollywood actors).

I didn't think it was that bad compared to a lot of his other films which were total rubbish. I've seen worse and I don't even like his films and try to avoid them. I think the only decent one was "Spanglish".

Hppg, I don't like most of his stuff either. I did hear some good things about 'Spanglish'.
