more evidence that mexicans cant act nor create a good story

this is by far one of the worst things i have ever seen in my life, terrible performances (therefore terrible "actors"), a dreadful story that no one with an IQ over 60 would ever believe, seriously i just cant understand how someone would waste money in this kind of productions....

Have you seriously actually know anything about mexican actors and writers? As for writers, there's a lot of good ones, and there's "Amores Perros" or "La Ley de Herodes" as fine examples. Or if you want good mexican soap operas, I can tell you about the pirate tale "PasiĆ³n", or the classic "El Pecado de Oyuki".

Of course there's a lot of bad actors, writers and directors, AS IN EVERY OTHER country.

And to round things up, "Acorralada" is not even a mexican soap opera. It was filmed in Miami, with a cast and staff from various latin countries, not only Mexico.

Next time you post something, first get some real info before you start babbling about.

P.S. "Acorralada" is not that bad. It's on the same level of many other common soap operas. Even then, it's far better than "Rebelde".

i could bet anything ur one of this nobody actors in this decadent soap opera, am i not right my honey?, well nevermind, this desperate attempt of urs to defend the undefendable in useless, no matter what u think or say this will still be a *beep* production, with no point whatsoever...ohh and one more thing, heres more evidence this is just a piece of crap, in the story they all live in miami right?, well i know miami if full of cubans, mexicans, etc, and thereby is a city where spanish is a common spoken language, but english is still the official language of this country even in miami!!,but this people never say a *beep* word in english!, they even have trials in spanish!, thats just beyond the absurd!, who can actually believe that? tell me!, k thats all i had 2 say..

Most of the actors in this telenovela are from Venezuela. Sonya Smith was born in Philadelphia, alot of the male actors are from Cuba, ei Jorge Luis Pila, or Diego. Pancholon is from Argentina. Deborah is from Colombia,Octavia is from Spain, the only main characters from Mexico are Max, Paco,Gaby and Diana. So don't blame all of the stupid soaps on the Mexicans.

Well I agree with you that this novela was terrible, horrible, atrocious. Acorralada featured the worst acting I had ever seen on a novela. The storylines were ludicrous, and repeated themselves again and again in endless loops as more and more new characters came streaming in. Then the entire train wreck of a show culminated with the "heroine" being raped by the "hero" of the novela yet her forgiving him and the two still ending up with their fairytale wedding anyway -- which was one of the most offensive and disgusting modern salutes to machismo that one could possibly imagine.

I'm boycotting any novela taped in Miami from now on, since those in charge don't care about quality acting or quality storytelling and directing just as long as they can attract viewers with beautiful scenery and scantily clad (male and female) bodies tanning on yachts or on the sands of golden beaches.

However, I don't think the generalized anti-Mexican comments are appropriate or necessary. You could have made your point just as easily without the prejudiced remarks.

Thank you so much i completely agree
I watched two episodes of this and gave up...but that gives me no right to up up with obviosuly ignorant, immature prejudice remarks...
This novela sucked to say the very least, then again it was aired on Univision at 1pm I think so it HAD to have sucked. As a rule (Almost) most telenovelas shown during the day are not very good, they're just there to fill a slot...

But it's anti-mexican prejjudice remarks like that made that make other ountries hate Americans so much, for their narrow way of thinking...

Personally, american soap operas bore me, I find that latin telenovelas (the good ones) have so much mroe to give...

Well I was born in the U.S...so we're not all narrow-minded lol. :) I hate American soaps, too, though. They all just copy each other, repeat the same storyline, and every story drags out for an eternity. I'm not surprised that all American soaps have very low ratings and many have been canceled. I continued watching for years after I realized I hated them, only because I was addicted lol. Once I discovered telenovelas, the switch was obvious and easy. Telenovelas move quickly, and I think all but the worst are of far better quality, and more unique and exciting, than the best American soaps.

I taped every episode of "Accoralada" and yes, I did like this novela as well. But it did go on way too long and certain episodes were pointless. But I still feel it was a good novela. As for the original post, he/she needs to realize that this particular telenovela was primarily a Venezuelan production but was filmed in the U.S.A.(Miami, Fla.) and the cast was mixed with Venezuelan, Mexican, Cuban, Colombian, Argentinian, Peruvian, and possibly Puerto Rican actors that comprised the cast as well. And although Mexico is considered the "main" country to produce and release telenovelas, other countries in Latin America such as Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Spain(yes,I know that country is in Europe), Venezuela, and even the U.S.A.(Miami, Fla, and sometimes L.A., Ca.) have produced and released telenovelas as well. Hell, I prefer watching telenovelas instead of watching American soap operas any day. So to the original poster, I recommend doing some serious research on not only telenovelas but also on all forms of Spanish language television in general.
