borat's rip-off and Sacha Baron Cohen's style stolen...

it is disgusting to see that the style which is signature work of Sacha Baron Cohen, has been stolen openly, from the accent of borat to the small witty stuff from Ali G, Borat and Bruno, I wasnt sure for one moment if I was watching a lame version of Borat, Adam Sandler should retire now, been enough!!!

As far as Bruno, that movie came out after this one. And as far as stealing Cohen's style, I think not. Cohen doesn't have the copy right on pretending to be middle eastern. And for me, I could sit through this movie. Tried watching Borat and Bruno. Couldn't sit through either one.

Zohan produced in 2000 borat 2006.

Then why did it take 8 years for it's release then?

That other poster meant that the script for Zohan was started in 2000, the movie wasn't filmed then. They could have had like 10 jokes and that's it at that point, who knows. But The Ali G show, which is where all his characters debuted including Borat, started in 2000 anyway, so their (incorrect) point is moot either way.

I'm with the OP by the way, half the time I thought I was watching a 2nd rate Borat knockoff...

Now I'm a BIG fan of Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat, Ali G, Bruno, etc), but...although he's awesome, he wasn't the first. Australian actor Gary McDonald and his alter ego "Norman Gunston" was doing that all back in the '70s and '80s:
