Hi, this is my first movie in this series, and I was wondering when this movie was supposed to be set in.

I really enjoyed this movie and also was wondering which of the other movies based on this authors books was everyones personal favorite.

Sarah and Willie die in 1835 and 1836 respectively, so it's shortly after that. You really need to watch them in order so that everything fits together.
