I never watched DSM when it aired. I'm in the midst of a hulu marathon and I'm at episode 210. It's a total WTF episode. It's like the show slammed on the brakes and made a sharp u-turn to go back to rewrite history, tie up loose storylines, etc. Karen & Simon are back togethor and Simon has a 16 yr old son? Samaire Armstrong's back and they gave her character's exit more details? Clark is suddenly dumb enough to spill family stories to a tabloid reporter?

What was going on behind the scenes? Did the show know they were cnaceled at this point and they're trying to tie up loose ends and reposition themselves for their finale? Or was this WTF episode part of the reason they got canceled? Did the writers jump the tracks and they couldn't recover from it?

Well Clark made the hole thing up on the spot, if you watched all the episode (nothing he said was true) but yes it was such a strange episode and felt out of place.
