Can someone explain the ending?
Does he forgive her? Do they get married? What happens?

He forgives her. Don't know if they get back together, though. I think they did.

As it turned out, he was the "heart of gold" type guy that WOULD forgive.
But, being a Texan....he might not ever trust her again. Serial liars are less accepted there than Los Angeles. She really screwed up and she did it as a continuous (and possibly for her...normal) style of behavior.
I'd have to vote that HE would move on to someone and maybe somewhere else.
His dead wife-to-be had LIVED up to his expectations. It would be hard to substitute such a disappointing person for that.
I know that's not a happy ending for her but...she really put her foot in it.
I just saw this movie, and as much as I love a happy ending and believe in forgiveness, I don't feel he went back with her or thought he should. She's a chronic liar and was lying at the drop of a hat. People like that turn me off. I never like liars. She took the lies too far. She had ample opportunity to give back the ring or tell the truth, and she kept going on lie after lie. She would be a scary person to marry. You never know when she'll be telling the truth.
