Jane Seymour's necklace!

Haven't we seen that necklace enough already every Valentine's Day? The commercial for it runs incessantly for two years now! Why did she have to wear it in every scene of this film? How could we think of her as any character except herself hawking that jewelry? (maybe she realized how bad the film was and wanted to get something out of it - even if it was shameless promotion)
