Live-Action Movie Casting
I know everybody is dieing to hear news on casting for the M. Night Shyamalan movie, so I have been doing some research trying to dig up information.
I spent an hour on the phone just now with first Nickelodeon and then Paramount and it seems none of them know ANYTHING about this movie. Nick says Paramount will be dealing with publicity for it (and not Nick) and Paramount thought at first that I was talking about Cameron's 2009 Avatar film, produced by FOX.
When I finally got them on the same page ("Oh, the Nickelodeon cartoon!") they put me through to the correct person handling the movie. But he (or rather his assistant whom I spoke with) says they know nothing about it yet and for me to check back in a month or so.
While this would lead me to believe casting hasn't started yet, that is simply not the case.
Greg Baldwin, who voices Uncle Iroh in season 3, says that he bumped into his neighbor's kid (19-ish) in the grocery store (in L.A.) who told him he'd just been called back for the role of Sokka in the live-action Avatar film.
So I need to look into this further but it looks like all lips are sealed at the moment. Maybe they don't want open auditions?
I'll post more when I get any details...

EDIT: I just noticed this board is for the Video Game (not the TV Series) so I posted this thread on the other board, here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0417299/board/thread/96241479
I'll keep that one updated. Probably not this one so much.
