Similar scene in "Brokeback Mountain"

Am I the only one who thought the scene in which Frank goes off and dances with Milly was very similar to the scene in "Brokeback Mountain," in which Jack goes off and dances with Randall's wife at the Texas charity party? Also, both husbands (whose wives abandon them at the table, with their dance partners' wives) are played by David Harbour, which makes it even more interesting! 
