I remember back when this was on Netflix and I loved this movie...Just skimmed through it again.

And holy s#$%, what a difference being 28 is from being 17...When I was 17, I liked this movie because of the different characters from different walks of life being intertwined. Now I see it and just listening to 10 minutes, the first thought I have is, "Wow, this is horrible and unrealistic dialogue. No one talks to each other like that. No one talks like that, period"

Pretty much everything these people say sounds like they had a Hollywood writer behind them to write them little zingers and catchphrases to everything they say to spice it up. That's not human. That's not realistic. If you're writing a comedy, then that's fine. If you're writing a thriller film that focuses on humans and human nature, it's a really bad approach. Also, everyone being extremely rude to each other for no reason reminds me of how people are living in the Northeast. No thanks.

Being an adult, looking at this movie, it's pure trash. But it's fun looking back on. Oh, you know who my favorite character was? Sully. The Vegas guy lol. Now I look at him and I'm like, "His character is pure Hollywood. Guys like that don't exist..." Sure, Vegas hotshots exist. But they're never like this. Hollywood does this thing where they love one-dimensional characters. They write the criminal, and everything about him spells out "CRIMINAL" They write "Vegas loan shark organized crime guy" and they make everything about him spell that out. When in reality, those guys try really hard to blend in with society so they're not suspicious.

When I see movies like this, it makes me regret not going into Hollywood as soon as I turned 18, because if I had put all my energy into being a writer or producer, I'm sure I could have at least made a living off it. If a writer could seriously vomit out this movie, and have it be a Netflix film, then I could have made it there. Oh well lol.

The movie was entertaining. It's one of my guilty pleasure movies along with Elevator (2011).

Yeah but maybe it's not supposed to be realistic? I mean who says "yippee-ki-yay mf" IRL?

The movie certainly has its moments. The scene where Sully realizes why he's there in the first place. "Five grants??" lol
