In my opinion, the movie was great. I've been dying to see it for months, but that ending. It didn't even make sense.
shareI took it as she gets away temporarily but if it all was recorded like the guy said he freedom will be short lived or she'll be a wanted figitive.
shareI had a hard enough time following the movie not to mention the plot holes but the ending was just so abrupt I thought Netflix had chopped off the ending. I came to these boards to see if anyone mentioned the ending only to find out how much everyone hated it!
If that was truly the intended ending, there could have been much better ways to film it instead of just chopping it off. Very sloppy, very amateurish. This looked like a film student's D+ project.
Please God, no. Please don't let there be a sequel! I don't even want to see a prequel!
Ha! I thought I was missing half the movie too! That's so funny you say that. I actually liked the movie but the end killed it for me.
shareI think the point is the irony of someone who prosecutes criminals now being the one will be prosecuted.
She is on the lam, but it doesn't mean she got away. Then she will be put in prison and maybe get some more ra pe thrown her way.
It was good right up to the ending.......

shareAnyone who has watched the TV Show Lost knew who the actor was who played the killer was based on his voice and therefore knew it was an older guy around 60 years old. So when they started talking about Wade Greeley, you had to think it was his dad.
The ending was terrible. I, like a few previous posters, thought that my Netflix skipped and rewinded it a few times to make sure it didnt. What the hell was that?

Whilst I'm sure it's not beyond someone to engage in consensual sex in a prison shower, I highly doubt anyone would with the paedophile. But your comment made me lol :P

shareShe is done. It was made perfectly clear that the guy had the full control all the time; that he had anticipated all possible steps (=> failed escape of the black criminal).
I'm sure that he has recorded it and that everybody (=> police) could see it live. That's why the police found this place, and most likley also the reason for the given 10 minutes. I guess he well calculated the time the police would need to find his place.
He also had never the intention to get away with it. Most likely he wanted to be killed as sort of punishment.
I also guess he gave the key to the bitch by intention.
Two more murder live in front of a camera.
She could have get away with the murder of this raping guy (=> self defense, no clear evidence available anymore, no valid confession that could be used in a trial etc., the same goes more or less for the made up trail).
Her career might have been sacked, but she would have got away with it...if she hadn't been such a whack-job.
Since I have a soft spot for sexy bitches, I'd say she deserves to get away.

Well, at least they could´ve shown the tape recorder or something. You can end a "part one" like this, but not a standalone movie. The director is a retard in my opinion...the ending destoyed everything....

Yup. The way the ending played out, it looks like it was showing that she was getting away. We never saw any proof that everything was being recorded or broadcast live.
Junk ending to a half-decent film.
We saw a shot of the killer watching them on a monitor. I think he was telling the truth about recording them.

I hate people who complain about movies, and they probably
got up to get a drink or take a piss, and didn't bother pausing the
movie most likely. It was clear that everything was being recording,
you saw him watching all of them on a monitor several times, and also
he tells her that everyone is watching, clearly telling the audience
that she was being watched somewhere live as well as the recording
of everything.

No need to continue the movie since it's titled "Nine Dead." Therefore, she lives?? If she didn't live that would be ten dead. Yeah, I know. WHAT-EVER!
