What did the dad mean when he said she wouldn't get away with it because everyone was watching? It looked like he was recording video of the whole thing, judging by a couple of shots earlier in the movie.

no way. police usually surrounds the fully building, so she would have run into their arms. she was the only survivor and her fingerprints were on the weapon that killed 3 people.
