Is Sly going for the Oscar?

It's a fairly low budget drama, so I'm thinking Stallone decided he wants to try to win an Oscar, because he isn't getting any younger.

It would be nice for him to get nominated and win an Oscar for this role but I doubt it I mean they completely ignored him for Rocky Balboa and he has been snubbed a few times.

Here is something to think about. Stallone deserved that Oscar for acting for "ROCKY." He really did. But here is something a lot of people do not know. Stallone was not only nominated for Best Actor for "ROCKY" but his screenplay was also nominated. This marked only the THIRD time in Oscar history that one man was nominated for both actor and screenplay for the same film. The other two men that did it before Sly, CHARLIE CHAPLIN and ORSON WELLES. There have been a few that have done it since Sly, but for many years Stallone was in a category with Orson Welles and Charlie Chaplin.

I agree. You are so smart.

He wont be nominated for an Oscar, now or ever. He is a terrible actor who can't pronounce words correctly.

This is a signature. Just wanted to point that out.

He was nominated for Rocky.

If half of your face was paralyzed at birth, you'd have a hard time pronouncing words too.

reply

He can't pronounce words correctly because he is disabled, so well done on being a tool

He is a fast thinker, and if Sly wants and only if he wants then he is a fast talker.

He's quick on his feet and words dance off his tongue. I believe everything he says. He's a genius. I hear this movie is one of his truest performances.

So if you are indeed a Stallone fan - then get real people - this is where it's at.

I agree Sly did very well - it is nice to see him in a non-action role. I have to support this movie - it was entertaining - that is the point after all.
