Oh, I saw the stupid motherfuccer. And it IS unspeakably bad. I would try to play devil's advocate somewhere where it makes more sense, ok? I respect your opinion about "people posting who haven't seen this movie" and all that, its definitely a problem on this site worth addressing, and you'll see a thread about it in just about any "bad movie" message boards here. But in this case, peeeeee-yyyeeewww, everybody posting here was right, and I should have listened to them, regardless of whether or not they had actually seen it. Quite a dilemma. That behavior shouldn't be encouraged at all, but listening to them would have saved me some time.
I'm sure that people posting in response to this will be aggravated, but I have to go with the lesser of 2 evils here, I side with the posters. There are warnings not to watch just about every movie, good or bad, on the imdb boards, but these circumstances become somewhat moot when the viewers themselves decides to go ahead and watch something they know is said to be really bad.
Movies develop their own followings on the basis of overall quality, and this film, you guessed it, will never develop much of a following other than those who immensely hate it. Unless you worked on the movie, in which case you're creating a bigger problem while addressing another issue.
Point is, you want to get on here and perhaps see whether or not a movie rated on imdb as 1 or 2 will be worth watching. You HAVE to love bad movies to even consider watching Asylum joints, and if not, you'll learn pretty quick. Judging movies by other peoples standards is often tricky, and usually results in a lot of wasted time and frustration. So my real question is, are we impressionable enough to acknowledge ratings from people who might not have seen the film, and if so, in the end, did that really matter if the movie turned out to be that horrible? I'm fuccing positive there are some cases in which the answer is yes, but I'm sayin' no regarding this SPECIFIC film. I had the guts to think for myself, watch the stupid apocalypse movie, and make my own opinion, therefore not making me as much of a mindless drone as some others here, but agreeing with the ones who might not have seen the movie and say they have. It WAS bad, and I wish I had read a book that night instead. See my point?
Go ahead and disagree, but don't start with the name calling. Let's try to have an in-depth discussion about this without hiding behind a monitor and calling each other "idiot" "moron" or "loser". It could rhetorically be argued that any of us who even read this or post here could fall into one of those categories, so all you tweenies, keep the hazing confined to the HSM boards.
All right, who's first, be gentle
