It seems fashionable

to "diss" this movie because of it's message. This is patently unfair. I watched the film because of the universally bad reviews. I wanted to see if it was really that bad. It wasn't. I've seen far, far worse films than this one. It thought it was well-shot, well-directed, the special effects were good without being 'cheesey', and, while the acting won't win any awards, I've seen worse in so-called 'popular' movies.
During the last 15 minutes, you really had suspend belief when Jason apparently landed a crippled aircraft in the woods, and Ashley's demise at the lightning-struck cross was a bit heavy-handed, but overall not as bad as many haters make it sound.
If you watch a movie produced by "Faith Films' and you know it has a Christian message why criticize it for having that message?
If you don't believe in it, why would you want to watch it?
7 out of 10 from me.
