Does anyone know why the character of Johnathon was replaced in the second season of "The Lair?" I just started watching the 2nd season and wondered what happened to him and saw that a new actor is portraying the part. Just curious to know whether Jesse chose to leave or if the creators decided to replace him?
shareWas wondering this myself. Jonathan was one of the main characters in Season 1, as Thom's jealous boyfriend and was integral to the plotline. Season 2 opens with the character suddenly minimized, to almost a periferral level, and a new actor in the role. This was a little jolting due to the fact that the character provided an interesting tension to the story -- not to mention the fact that Jesse Cutlip was great in the role and was a major actor on the show. So, what happened? If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear from them.
shareit's a sad case that Jesse Cutlip disappeared from "The Lair" after season because he was awesome on the first season. plus, the new actor playing him is absolutely horrendous. it's funny how he was a big factor in year one and then come the second season his part turned into a rather unimportant plotpoint and he was basically thrown to the sidelines and eventually discarded. i'd be interested to know if Jesse walked on his own or if they chose to go in this direction.
