Totally agree. We just HAVE TO get at least one more season.

Dantes Cove S4 is heretv! focus atm, I think there will be a wait for TL S4 but I think it will happen. It's a heretv! hit after all

Bump. Any news going around?

I would say that we can probably give up waiting on it. There was news not long ago of them "re-booting" Dante's Cove as something called The Book of Treasom, with a new cast. Something that really sucks since DC ended with a cliffhanger, but then it seems that re-boot has yet to see the light of day either.

The whole thing seems a bit odd to me since DC, The Lair and the Donald Strachey films were what put this channel on the map and generated buzz, plus Here had announced further seasons of both shows and then...nothing. Plus both DC and The Lair were supposedly selling incredibly well on DVD. I dropped an online membership with Here TV because their scripted programming had flagged over a year ago. Checked back recently and I swear the same repeats and handful of films are still being offered, along with a nauseating surplus of yadda-yadda talk shows/reality shows of literally no interest. Apparently, their focus is almost entirely on talk shows/reality programming now, so they definitely won't be getting my dollar for anything.

A real shame because the Donald Strachey mysteries were actually quite good and Dante's Cove/The Lair had grown into addictive guilty pleasures - and sadly there has been nothing to fill that niche in gay programming.

As people probably know by now, 'Dante's Cove', 'The Lair', and the Strachey series, despite their hit status, could not continue because their production company, Regent Entertainment, got into very serious legal trouble (that included jail time in at least one instance, I'm told), and folded several years ago. A huge shame because the Strachey films were just plain good, and the the two supernatural series were indeed addictive guilty pleasures.

Is this where we drop our theories about how the series could have ended?

Great, I'll start, spoilers ahead!

So we have Damian lying dead from the cross to the heart in the portrait, that means that either ALL the vampires that he create in one way or another are either dead or not. If we go for dead then all of Colin's build up is done, so is that Von Hess revenge plan and maybe Sheriff Trout's vamped twink rescued puppy.
Most likely not, too sudden of an end. Here's plan B, the portrait only effects Damian. Thom wakes to see Damian dead and Frankie appears and tells him to pour the remainder of Athan's blood into Damien. This either cures him of vampirism or makes him an anti-vampire giving him the power to convert vamps back into mortals. (In this series it could work).
Thom and Damian continue their escape plan, but Frankie wants to get dug up and thus either Von Hess or Colin catches up with them again.
Meanwhile Athan and Tim are in the honey moon of the relationship and something happens to the head.
Sheriff Trout accepts the supernatural, might kill his vamped twink and decides to clean up the town and hires a vamp hunter to help and they go to clean out Colin's hide out.

This stuff pretty much writes itself. Add in some naked make out sessions and you're good to go.

Good theories there.

Man this show was awesome. I've just found out about it 2 weeks ago and I already watched all eps and I'm addicted.

I really wish we would get a Season 4 but I guess it's over.

Like you said we can pretty much guess what might happen next.

How I wish this show could go on.

Man, I loved this show.
