Did anyone else feel such deep sorrow for the Brazil schoolgirl???

I know this is cheesy and I normally don't do this, but there was one schoolgirl who wasn't super-poor or in danger at least, but her parents left her in the care of her aging grandma. So she goes to the Easter festival all by herself.... and her grandma (small miracle cuz of her physical aging), manages to show up after all.

It was sweet but sad at the same time. I felt SO BAD for this girl, but I hope it just makes her stronger :)

Oh my god, yes! I had watched this episode several times before, but for some reason, never really paid attention to her story until I was watching it again today and it hit me. I don't like being critical of people in situations where I don't know all the details, but her parents seem like they're complete *beep* It's as if they've both gone on and started new families and have abandoned her, for the most part. Her mom moved out to the country and her father lives in the same town as the girl, but she doesn't live with him. Her mother and father seem to have chosen their new spouses over their daughter and that is just plain sad!
