This movie reminded me of... possible SPOILERS

two other movies
1. Under the Tuscan Sun
2. A Good Year

They all include great scenery, old houses/castles, a life changing experience and an over all nice feeling at the end.

I know Gere's character dies but to me that was just like life! I mean they could have been married and then hated each other or something! Happiness Doesn't always have to be Happily ever after!

I read a book once where the characters in love were separated, and the female had this idealized picture in her mind of her partner, when she met him again later on he failed her expectations.

in my book, this movie is 8/10 (2 points for unrealistic dialogue & leaving the cars under the house in a hurricane)
