This is similar to Bridges of Madison County
A middle aged couple finds love against all odds. The Nicholas Spark book was better, though I didn't like the sad ending.
I wish they changed the movie ending to be a happy one.
I guess I can see a couple of similarities between them but The Bridges of Madison County was FAR superior in my opinion. The 'love' in that felt a lot stronger and the ending in this movie was quite a let down.
