i heard that they are going to start showing this on the CW? but does it start from season 1 or what i have never seen this before?

There is only one season of MOONLIGHT, with 16 episodes.

But don't be afraid to watch it. It plays kind of like a mini series. All the loose ends aren't wrapped up nicely at the end but it does have a satisfying ending.

Just don't be surprised at the end though when your left shaking your head and saying "Why, oh why did this show get cancelled". I'm still shaking mine about it. I still really miss this show.

Haha just came here to say exactly that. Who in their right mind didnt like this enough to give it a second season?.. Just started watching it and is on episode 14, the series is awesome!

I've heard the network wanted it to be some kind of "CSI with vampires" thing, and were upset when it wasn't. I like it fine as it was done, though, and the things I had heard about their plans for season 2 were really interesting! I wish it had continued.

The CW bought the entire series, consisting of 16 episodes, because they felt it would work well after THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, and that the show had a solid following of fans. You can watch the show that way, on a weekly basis. You can also see it on THE SYFY channel -- I believe they showed all 16 episodes, back-to-back on June 3!

CW Entertainment Chief Dawn Ostroff said: "We get letters and emails about MOONLIGHT all the time. And so we thought it would be interesting if we aired it following THE VAMPIRE DIARIES."

This was an excellent, entertaining show that had the potential to run for several years. I cannot believe that some bone-headed, knuckle-dragging, simple-minded, unimaginative, moronic twit of a "suit" at CBS cancelled this show! This show should have been made for the SyFy, TNT or USA Network channel, where it could have had some freedom and time to grow the audience. The shows ratings were not bad enough to cancel it.
