And no, he was fine with what he had to play. Are you trying to sound British or are you heaven forbid actually British? You feel free to send a lovely actor some money, he can out it with the rest of his Whole Bunch Of Money from his other acting jobs.
He wasn't fine. His performance was stupendously wooden, and not even your borderline racism can change that glaring fact. Run along now.

I have to agree. He was miscast in this 100%. His portray of the father wasn't good at any part of the film. The rest of the cast were really good. Which made him even more awful.
