WTF! I thought things were looking good! The also cancelled The Class. I'm done with that network!

reply

Same here. After they cancelled Jericho, Babylon Fields was the only thing I was intrested in at CBS.
To hell with them.

reply

what are you talking about? CBS didn't cancel Jericho. It's already signed on for the next season.

I hope Bablyon fields comes out. They filmed the pilot in my town, about 5 minutes from my house

reply

Jericho was canceled but people petitioned and it was brought back.

reply

So lets hope for the best.

CBS may regret not picking it up. I look for that crappy reality show about the kids in a ghost town and the new vampire drama to not be around by November. I was really looking forward to watching Babylon Fields.

reply

I think that it will be picked up as a mid-season replacement, it might even pop in a little earlier if the vampire movie doesn't work out.

I'm definitely disappointed that CBS didn't go with this show up front.

reply

As much as I'd love to see it waiting in the wings for midseason, CBS also announced the midseason pilots they picked up and sadly, Babylon Fields was not mentioned. I would figure that if CBS had picked it up for midseason it would have been mentioned with Swingtown, which did get a midseason order.

reply

Can't say I'm surprised. It IS CBS after all. They probably felt a show about zombies and another one about vampires would tarnish their name as the network for senior citizens.

Nil Desperandum Ray. There will be other opportunities.

It might be right. They might show it during the months of June/July. They spent the money on it so they might as well. It's not going to hurt them any.

Everyone is more memrable when they're dead. Welcome to L.A.

Apparently it's a midseason show.

aw damn, they were filming at my house too but too bad its not going to get picked up. but to tell you the truth, the zombies looked nothing like zombies.

reply

I spent two days filming on the set playing one of the resurrected dead with start times of 3am for makeup, hair and wardrobe.
We were constantly reminded that we were not Zombies but to act like people who woke up from a long sleep, disoriented and looking to go home.
So this is not a true Zombie story, no gore, blood or death scenes.
Just confused people wanting to start their old lives over again.
I for one had hoped for the show to be picked up also, it would have been work for me.

reply

CBS is holding onto it for a while before they decide whether or not to air it.

reply

It DID get oficially picked up in July......but it still hasn't aired.

Well that's not what cbs says

All of them. The makers got paid and the series has been purchased BUT no release date has been given because it will only likely air this year IF another series fails.

reply

CBS is full of it. They enjoy canceling post-apocalyptic/sci-fi type of shows so they can air crappy reality TV shows. I haven't watched CBS since they mutilated Jericho Season 2, after they canceled it and brought it back. Season 2 was like going to a fast food restaurant.
