I just saw this movie and I thought she did very well. I think when she is given the right material Kristen has talent. I believe the reason she's so bland in the Twilight movies is because of the script and the story of those films. And there is absolutely no chemistry between her and Robert, I will never understand why people go so crazy over the 'passion' between them. It's like watching chalkboard when they're together.
Kristen does good in this movie and I highly recommend it.
I always say that she can act, I saw her in 'Speak' and thought she was a brilliant actress. With the right script she can act, sadly the Twilight script was a load of bull.
I did not compare Kristen Stewart to Meryl Streep, because lets face it that would be like comparing dish water to gold.I said the Twilight SCRIPT could even make Meryl Streep seem boring as hell, so before you jump down my throat reread.

Excuse me darling if you meant that:"Twilight or KStew shouldn't even be mentioned in a sentence with Streep's name included. EVER" you should have been more clear, and me? a fangirl? ha I'm sensing some "fangirl" qualities in you. I hope your not stalking Meryl I don't think she would appreciate that. Now enough with this meaningless banter time for a new subject.....

It's amazing that you don't see the hypocrisy in everything that you say. All a person did was say that the Twilight script could have made even Meryl Streep a boring actress, and then you go and write 3 paragraphs about how stupid that statement is. Then you say that someone jumped down YOUR throat? Funny.
P.S I know the comparison is bad, I'm terrible with being put on the spot, but do i think it's stupid? no. It just shows how truly horrific the Twilight script is

Yeah she's great she's Meryl freakin Streep now for a lighter topic Do chinchillas gross anyone else out? or is it just me? They are really creepy and they kind of remind me of William Shatner

Yes, I agree that it was her best movie ever. To be more exact the scene at the beginning where she went to the bathroom and back. But the reason why it was so believable good is because she walked and spoke unnormal.
I haven't seen a lot of people with disabilities in movies so I can't compare it with someone else. My point is that her walking and speaking unnormal could be learned even if it's difficult to do it. But her facial expression isn't convincing at all. She acted like in her other movies and did strange things. Something I can easily accept because she seems like a young actor just learning to be an actor and because she really tried to portray the illness well. All in all the movie is just too small to be judged correctely.
I agree with you Wee Bit. For a non-Kristen fan, she spends a lot of time on the Kristen board and on her movie boards. More than most fans. I think maybe she really is a fan or is fascinated by her in some way. And I know that the boards are open to anyone who wants to have a discussion.... but I never go to boards of actors I don't like. If I did, I would have a thousand posts on David Caruso's board. LOL. It is strange.
I completely agreed with the original poster. And I can't wait to see this movie. Kristen is a fantastic actress. Seeing her in The Runaways and Welcome to the Rileys just proved that fact even more. Her roles are so different from what actors her age normally play. Her chemistry with Eddie Redmayne seems like it's really good. They're cute together! The storyline is interesting as well. Character-driven movies are great!
Welcome to the Rileys The Runaways It's not about the image. It's about the music.
NO .. she cant! All you have to do is to compare her with the other three brilliant actors in this movie to see very clearly that she is one of the worst actresses that made it this far in Hollywood
