Is it direct-to-DVD for sure? I know early on in production, there was a little momentum going with talks of a possible theatrical release. I don't mind if it's direct to video, just means I'll own it that much sooner!

tenohtwo the room number. I just saw Bachelor Party. Didn't think it was great. Maybe it was in the 80's. Fox is doing more focus groups. It seems to be so well liked that it could possibly have a theatrical release. Notice the new name. second coming.OMG. Don't think it will come out until spring.

Seeing it for the first time in this era would definitely be a letdown. My 24 y/o girlfriend just saw Saturday Night Fever for the first time this year, and shs didn't understand what the big deal was. I think it's something bigger than just the acting, dialogue, and how good or bad these time-capsuled films really are, once you've grown up with them. I was a teen when BP came out, and at the time was exposed to all kinds of cheesy, corny, goofball summer comedies - the type that thrived in that decade. I'll never claim BP to be some sort of masterpiece, but there's something about the snappy, wit-filled dialogue and carefree attitude that keeps me laughing to this day. I'm sure some of it is nostalgia, but it's still my favorite Hanks flick, and I just never tire of watching it. To me, this movie is as quotable as Fletch, Caddyshack, Blazing Saddles, Better Off Dead, etc. That may sound crazy to the rest of you, but not to me!

Still hoping for a late '07 release.

Just because you'd been promoting this one, didn't mean you had to bash the original, tom.
