Didn't actually find this all that funny.


Maybe it's just that Martin's style of humor is very similar to Steven Wright's, only less clever and delivered without Wright's deadpan.

I rented this because I heard Martin talking to someone on NPR, and in his interview, he seemed engaging and amusing.

It just didn't seem to transfer to his stand up, which is comprised mostly of watered-down observational humor that's given an odd twist.

For me, Brian Regan's Standing Up and Jeff Dunham's Arguing with Myself are a good deal funnier.

I don't think he's necessarily trying to be funny. Sometimes he just wants people see things from a different perspective.

I think his performance is riveting. It's one of the few comedic shows that I can watch over and over again.

I like martin, he was good in just for laughs and stuff. but important things and person... to much. not enough substance to make his style work and he ends up coming off crude or childish.
