Obvious LS2SB rip off but enjoyable

It must be the downunder spirit - but as a kiwi I enjoyed this movie. Good to see its not only NZers getting into trouble in SP!

I just finished watching this and for the first time in a while (without having been to these boards about this movie) was going to start a thread aptly named "Blatant rip off of Lock Stock"...

Seems it was that obvious, that the thread already exists, and it happens to be 1 of only 3 threads about the movie entirely.

Initially, I was hoping that Crooked Business "drew" some influence from Lock Stock (and even Snatch for that matter), but it became nothing more that a complete rip off. How can you write and direct a movie in almost the same light of something that has already been done, and considerably better and expect people to like it? Yes, I know movies are re-made and re-done throughout the ages, but this bearly had anything original in it. The only way this could possibly have scored higher was by the viewers that have voted having not seen Lock Stock.

Just to add some perspective to my opinion, I am Australian, very proud to be, and extremely patriotic. And where possible, I whole heartedly condone productions that are made with Australian actors on Australian shores. This sadly, was a bit of a failure.

I gave it a 5, and that is mainly because I consider a 5 rating the yardstick for movies which I have made it through from beginning to end.
