You see, the First Season has covered 12 Volumes of the Air Gear Manga...
Right Now The Manga has reached the 17th volume.....which from 12 to 17 it is only 5 volumes.....you have to wait until the manga reach volume 25 to Continue Season 2
I don't think they will make a second TV season, its going to be a movie. It hasn't been announced yet, but there is a section on the Japanese website that is faded and unclickable that says "movie".

From what I've heard the show didn't get enough popularity in Japan, so they dropped it. Sorry to be the one to say so, I really enjoyed the show myself, but apparently it just didn't catch on in it's homeland. I heard that the manga it's based on had a lot more fanservice (female characters in their underwear and/or nude) and so fans of the manga were disapointed with the toned-down anime.
