What band is Prince? Don't mock me. Not every band is known by everyone. Anyway, I've got Doritos Buffalo and Ranch flavor for the big game tonight.

P.S. Go Colts!

(The artist formerly known as) Prince is not a band. He is a person. He was really famous in the 80s and 90s. I liked his stuff then but he is just too bizarre now. I'm sure if you google "the artist formerly known as Prince" you can read all about him.

I love me some Prince, but that show was pretty boring. I really thought that he was going to play more of his own old stuff. Let's Go Crazy was great, but Purple Rain just wasn't a good pick for the mood.

Ah, then was there an "artist formerly known as 'Fresh Prince?'"

Relax, just kidding!

I'm watching it now and I'm still not sure what he's singing. This is really awful. I like all the songs just not (the artist formerly known as) Prince singing them. I would have been happier with him singing all his old (hasn't had a hit in ten years) stuff.

Why would he play Hendrix, Turner, and Foo Fighters? Foo Fighters? Hendrix and Turner, maybe, you mean to tell me (the artist formerly known as) Prince is a fan of the Foo Fighters? No, he did it because he thought people would like him for it. This is a shambles.

Not only has his time passed, but now he's randomly breaking out into other people's songs. BTW lags2much "All Along the Watchtower" was a cover song even when Hendrix did it, its a Bob Dylan tune, and "Proud Mary" is a Creedence Clearwater Revival song not Tina Turner. And he shouldn't touch modern rock songs, from artists he could never currently compete with. And he was clearly not even playing the guitar.

reply

Sorry, I'm half-delirious from a head cold. I'm pretty sure I knew that. Infact, I have a Dillion tribute CD with Watchtower on it!

I just kept thinking Hendrix because of the way he was playing the guitar - also painful. And I couldn't figure out who that woman was during "Proud Mary" and screamed at my tv "That's not Tina!" Also, they were doing Tina's choreography!?

I need to sleep.

More than you'll make in your entire life, so I'd be careful about who I'm name calling. Jealousy is ugly.

Hahah don't be made because Prince is rich as hell.

But that's just me.

reply

Yes,
I think my problem with Prince, as ridiculous as it sounds, is that I associate him with 80's music. I know he is a much better musician than someone who should be labeled by such a decadent and foolish musical era; I just can't get past that block.
