The 'item' song

..the song that was being filmed near the temple by that director. When I saw the film at first, I thought: "What was Manish Jha thinking to include that in the movie?" but after second thoughts and after realizing that Manish Jha is not the kind of director to include a song of this kind for commercial reasons, I think that song was there to show that the people in the area (which represented Indians in general, to some extent) were so easy to manipulate by politicians and that they are more concerned about an "item song" being filmed (you see that they quite immediately start dancing) rather than thinking skeptical about real issues. I think Jha deliberately put that in the movie to show that, because in a movie like ANWAR, such an "item song" couldn't be more out-of-place.
