This is a horrible rip-off of the Royal Tenebaums and a lot of Wes Anderson's works. The font used in the show, the mother looks like Angelica Houston the story of the guy who loves the girl who he lives with in the huge house (she dates the bolshy guy), the music...etc.

Don't forget the awful Mark Mothersbaugh wannabe soundtrack. Or the fact that one of the characters only ever wears a tracksuit etc.
Also, The Royal Tennenbaums was a big influence on Arrested Development (the series, not the band), which Roman's Empire is a total rip off of.
I am going to watch next weeks episode with the sole idea that I am marking down Wes Anderson rip-offs...
...on second thoughts, I have teeth to get pulled out.

They seem to have posted them themselves judging by the user name (jhw1979 - Jack Williams was born in 1979), so you can tell them what you think of the show there. Seems they can't handle even the post polite critism because when I wrote a comment it was removed within about half an hour.
