Where did this take place?

Does anyone know or catch where this took place? What city/state or locale? It looked like Louisiana to me, but that it just what I pictured. I thought I heard Lafayette mentioned also...., anyone know for certain?

The main town featured is England, Arkansas. Other sites are along highway 165. Keo, Scott, North Little Rock. The river is the Arkansas. The major fight
was filmed at the legendary White Water Tavern in Little Rock.

Also, the basketball trivia centers on Arkansas

It's in SE Arkansas, which looks a lot like Northern Louisanna.

They also mention Tunica (as in Tunica, MS) as a place where one person lost $200. Tunica is a gambling mecca with a number of casinos and is a short drive from SE Arkansas.

Interesting. I have relatives in the Cleveland area. I think I recognized Wellington, Ohio in this film (especially the train scenes). Many of the locations seem similar to those in "Take Shelter".

I think it took place in 1940s Berlin.
