They did something like this on IGN.com, and Kratos was declared the winner, but that was due primarily to fanfare. Dante would win, plain and simple. Kratos is badass, and I like him, but he would lose to Dante.
shareKratos rocks hard, but there's just no way he'd ever beat Dante. It IS a tough battle, that's for sure, but he can stab Dante with all his weapons and the guy would just finish eating his strawberry sundae...and then shoot his ass and chop him into little parts.

shareYou stumbled into a Devil May Cry forums asking if Dante would win in a fight? Lol, anyway.. it would be an awesome fight but in the end Dante would win, he's simply more powerful and faster than Kratos is. As for the God of War fans from the IGN forum that kept saying "Well Kratos took down a god and Dante didnt blah blah blah" They clearly dont know a thing about DMC (Dante killing Mundus from 1?)
shareKratos did manage to kill the Sisters of Fate (The women who control time). I wouldn't say Mundus is in their lead.
I honestly could see Kratos grabbing Dante and ripping him in half like he does to some of the un-dead.
I would say that Kratos' Typhoon Bow and Arrow would be his answer to Dante's Ebony and Ivory.
Kratos can also block and deflect attacks so Dante would have to think of a new strategy instead of slashing Kratos with the Rebellion.
Even if Dante managed to kill Kratos, Kratos would still escape from Hell (like he always does when he dies) and come back for revenge.
Kratos IMO would definitely win. He is actually the stronger of the two (The dude out-powered a 300ft steel Colussuss) and can perform lots of magic.

i think dante's main advantage in this fight would be his speed...
he could just kinda do that pop up behind you thing from his trickster move, use the chrono thing he had in dmc 3 to slow time down and just stinger the *beep* out of kratos. im pretty sure this fight would end quickly. kratos lacks the speed and the reaction time to compete with dante. the only thing i could see working to kratos advantage is dante's cocky attitude. he could kinda screw himself over if he *beep* around too much, but im sure if he was caught in the situation where he was about to be ripped in half he would just go DT kratos would probably be in shock and loosen his grip then dante would go back to appearing behind him slowing down time and choppin him to bits.
Kratos, next question.
